Description
A non-return valve is a valve that allows a flow of liquid or gas pass through in one direction, in the opposite direction, the medium is stopped. This may be accomplished by all sorts of constructions such as flaps, flails, rubbers, etc.
Original documents from antiquity has shown that the ancient Romans used balls to close a flow in one direction. The invention of the check valve is entirely attributable to the ancient Romans.
The reason this type of valves is increasingly used, is because this valve is self-cleaning.
Because of this a special usage application was created, namely highly polluted and wastewater.
