Description
A venturi can be best described as a piece of pipe, whose diameter first decreases (inflow), then just remains constant (throat) and
then gradually increases again (outflow) to the original size. The flow rate of a flow is to be determined from the pressure difference between the inflow and the throat, and the ratio of the diameters of the tube and the throat. With the aid of the well-known Bernoulli law ies follow the speed. From this formula it follows that the pressure is lower when the fluid speed is higher, because the total energy at the inflow is just as large as the total energy in the throat (energy is retained).
Specifications
The injector of Van der Ende Pumps is made of PVC. The connectors are 25 mm and glue are using screw fittings attached to the venturi. The links can optionally be equipped PVC adapter rings. The maximum pressure that can be put on these venturi is 10 bar.
